Working principle of double-shaft humidifier mixer
2026-08-12 15:52The dual-shaft humidifier mixer, also known as a dual-shaft dust humidifier, is a specialized industrial equipment designed for humidification and mixing of powdery materials. Its core function is to prevent secondary dust generation during dry material conveying, meeting environmental protection requirements.
I. Basic Overview
Applicable Sc: Primarily used for fly ash humidification in thermal power plants, it also covers humidification and conveying scenarios for powdery materials in industries such as chemical, metallurgy, mining, and building.
Mainstream Models: Dominated by the SJ series, including SJ-10, SJ-20, SJ-40, SJ-60, SJ-8, SJ-100, and SJ-200, with a processing capacity ranging from 10 to 200 tons per hour.
Core Parameters: diameter Φ400-Φ800mm, main shaft speed approximately 34 rpm, motor power 4-30 kW, water spray pressure 0.40.8 MPa, capable of humidifying dry ash to a moisture content of 10-25%.
II. Working Principle
Powdery materials enter the mixing tank through feeding inlet at the top of the equipment. Atomizing nozzles above the machine casing uniformly spray water to form a water curtain. Two symmetrically arranged screw shafts rotate synchronously in opposite directions, mixing the material and water thoroughly. Under the axial thrust of the screw blades, the humidified material is discharged from the bottom outlet.
III. Core Structural Components
Machine C: Welded from plates and section steel, it is tightly sealed to effectively prevent fly ash from escaping.
Screw Shaft Assembly: The core component of the equipment. The blades are made of highly wear-resistant alloys, composite ceramics, or wear-resistant cast steel, connected by bolts for easy replacement after wear.
Drive Device: Mostly uses cycloidal pin hard-tooth reducers for transmission, ensuring smooth operation and low noise. Some models are equipped with torque limiters to enhance operational safety.
Humidification System: Com of stainless steel atomizing nozzles, water supply pipelines, and water volume regulating valves, it can flexibly adjust the spray volume to ensure uniform material humidification.
Sealing and Lubric: Employs a shaft seal structure combining multi-groove labyrinths and packing for reliable sealing. Some models are equipped with hand-operated oil pumps to centrally supply lubricating to the drive bearings.
Auxiliary Structures: Features a flip-type quick-opening maintenance door. Some models are equipped with anti-clumping vibration systems and support integrated micro control systems for automated operation.
IV. Core Product Advantages
The dual-shaft counter-rotating mixing structure ensures thorough and uniform material mixing without dry material lumps.
The overall tight, combined with the atomizing humidification function, suppresses dust from the source, complying with environmental protection requirements.
Key components use highly wear-resistant materials, offering a long life, easy replacement of wear parts, and low maintenance costs.
Low operating noise and vibration, a wide range of processing capacities, and adaptability to different production scales
