Electronic Belt Scale

The electronic belt scale consists of a steel mechanical scale frame, a speed sensor, a high-precision weighing, and an electronic belt scale control and display meter (Figure 2), and can perform continuous dynamic measurement of solid materials.

During weighing, the load-bearing device transmits the of the material on the belt to the weighing sensor. The weighing sensor then outputs a voltage (mV) signal proportional to the weight of the material. After being amplified by an amplifier, signal is sent to an analog/digital converter to become a digital value A, which is then sent to the calculator. When the material speed is input into the speed sensor, the sensor outputs a pulse count B, which is also sent to the calculator. After the calculator performs operations on A and B, the material quantity for this measurement cycle is obtained. By the results for each measurement cycle, the total amount of material continuously passing on the belt can be obtained.

The weighing display mainly has two types: digital display and Chinese character display, the Chinese character display being an upgraded product of the digital display. The weighing display has cumulative and instantaneous flow rate displays, and features automatic zero-setting, semi-automatic zerosetting, self-diagnostic fault detection, digital calibration, flow control, and printing. In addition to these, the Chinese character display can also display the speed. The Chinese character display features displays during operation, which can better assist the operator.

Mechanical Belt Scale

It consists of a gravity transmission system, rollers, a counter, and a speed disk. The rotational of the speed disk is proportional to the belt speed. The angular velocity of the rolling roller is proportional to the amount of material passing on the belt. The position of the roller rolling the speed disk is adjusted by the magnitude of the material's weight. When there is no material on the belt, the roller moves close to the center of the speed disk, rotational speed is zero, and the counter does not accumulate; when there is material on the belt, the roller moves outward as the weight increases, driving the counter to record the total amount material passing on the belt.
